Last week when announcing the winner of her contest for July and entering my August contest, Bloggrrl jokingly mentioned in passing that because I was giving away $100 and she only did $50 I was obviously more flush. Well check out this contest! And Michelle said I was flush.....

Now I have to be honest, I'm like everyone else, I am still a bit skeptical. I can't however pass up the chance to win cold hard cash. Now since his contest ends on the 20th and mine on the 31st if I win Ashwin's contest I will be increasing the winning amount in my contest to $500 and the consolation prize to $100. Are We Too Connected?

I have asked myself, and others, this question many times. It all started with the answering machine. Then we had emails, mobile phones, and now mobile phones with emails. We now have Twitter, & ppl posting constantly about their lives. It isn't that I don't see how it could benefit this blog, but simply put, quite a bit of the time I don't give a da-- that you are sitting in Starbucks reading a book. Unless of course there is some benefit to me from that information, such as you are a friend I'm meeting for coffee. Also, I really don't figure you give a da-- that I am sitting somewhere either. I understand Twitter goes beyond that, but you get the point. I use twitter, and yes I've posted that I was sitting in a Starbucks. So we have people running around with their iPhones and Crackberries worried they are missing emails, phone calls, and text messages. They are doing this while listening to music and Twittering away.
