Profitable Productive Blogging

I always hear people that aren’t successful saying about those that are, “they are just lucky.” Successful people aren’t just “lucky.” They were prepared and in the right mindset when opportunity presented itself. By associating with and befriending successful people you can learn how to be prepared when your opportunity comes. I have found this relationship to be very true. Not just in the online world but offline as well. Find people that are more successful than you and befriend them. Find out what they do, how they do it, and why they do it. Success rubs off. Knowledge and experience can be gleaned from those you associate with and in doing so many mistakes can be avoided. Milton Berle said that, "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door." Learning, seeking, taking risks, these are all about creating opportunity and getting yourself prepared. Nate over at Nate Whitehill dot Com recently posted an article on how having the right friends can make all the difference.

I have been using Hits4Pay for about a 2 weeks now and have accumulated a bit over 100$. The payout threshold is 25$ so I should be receiving payment in July. Hits4Pay is similar to some of the other paid email programs I participate in like InboxDollars and Sendearnings . Okay I was asked this question and figured that I would post the answer here as I have noticed this same questions other places as well. Changing the time and date of a post is very beneficial in blog organization. By backdating certain posts so that they don't go to your main page in conjunction with the post's "permalink" is a great way to add content to your site like thank you posts for subscriptions, donations, etc. or to create traffic funnels or a series of articles without having all of them clutter the main page. It is also a great way to give new life to an old post. I know there have been times when I have gone back over my posts and realized that I had learned a lot since the original post and it needed updating. After updating the post edit the time and date to be current and it will reappear on your main page. I have seen this really make a difference in traffic to an article. Well Agloco is finally live and after a few glitches at the start seems to working well. Read a description of what Agloco is and my inital impression and review of Agloco here . Considering they just went live on June 8th I think things are going smoothly. I have been using my viewbar and have hit my max hours for the month. I have noticed that my referals are not surfing quite as much as I am so far. They have initiated the auto-upgrades for the viewbar and it seems to be going well. My viewbar is updated and showing ads and is working great. The upgraded bar integrates well with both Firefox and the new IE. I haven't noticed any slowdown in surfing due to the bar which is nice. I do wish that the ads were a little more relevant to my interests or my surfing habits. A really good friend of mine Ted Kosmatka is a science fiction author. He has been very successful the last year and is really building momentum in the writing industry. He has had several short stories published in Asimov's Science Fiction and has another one coming out in the September issue coming out around the end of July or first of August. He also has 2 other stories that have been picked up for publication and will be available in the coming months. Well the buzz keeps building on LinkBidr. Not real sure yet exactly what it is or how it will work. Let me know what your ideas are about it. I came across this LinkBidr site and it seems pretty interesting. I went ahead and signed up since they are giving 10$ for free, on the launch day of 06/25/07, to the first 100 people that sign up. The last time I checked only 29 spots were left. Here is their description of what they are. After a lot of consideration and conversations with some other bloggers I decided to give viraltags one more go. For those of you who have sites with lots of images I would recommend adding Enhanced image search to your site. You will need to go over to Google Webmaster Tools and if you haven't already register and then add your sites. Once you have your site(s) added click on the link to the right that says verify. Do this for each site you add. Once your site is verfied click on the link that says Manage http://www.yoursiteurl.com. This will bring up the summary page for the url selected. Click on the Diagnostic tab. This will bring up your diagnostic tools. At the bottom of the left menu you will see a link for Enhanced Image Search. Follow this link to bring up your Enhanced Image Search options. Select that you would like ot enable enhanced image search and click ok. I have been using AdBrite for quite some time now and really like their program. They offer inline ads, contextual ads, and active interstitials. AdBrite has been a very successful program for me both as a publisher and as an advertiser. Now AdBrite has begun something that, to my knowledge, is unprecedented in the contextual ad marketplace. They are offering to beat your earnings with other ad publishers or if they can't they will run the other ads for you. I have tried this out and have been very happy. I can place one ad block and know that the ads running in it are earning my the maximum amount possible. You can run ads from your current ad networks within your AdBrite code, and they will always show the ads that earn you the most money.
