I Have To Admit I Bought The New iPhone

At least I didn't stand in line all night in the rain for it. I don't understand why people would do that. It is after all just a phone. I have to say that I loved my previous iPhone and once I got used to it it was the best phone I've ever had. The only things I always wished that it had was 3G and GPS. Now my new one has both. With the price dropped to $199 with a contract it really is a good deal. I have already played around a bit with the GPS and it works much better in the city than my Garmin. I was going to have to pay to update the GPS with new maps or simply buy a new one, but I figured I would just wait for the iPhone. I'm glad I did. Now I can ditch another device from the car!

The main reason I went this morning to get the iPhone and just didn't wait until next week is that I am leaving to go out of town this evening and wanted the new phone with me. I am on my way to Dallas, Texas for a family reunion. I am really looking forward to it as I haven't been to one in about 4 years or so. I figured that if the line wasn't too bad I would go ahead and stop and pick one up. The ATT store by me was pretty much dead. There were a few others buying but nothing like the ones downtown. Anyway you all have a great day....

I know all of you have been waiting with baited breathe for my first contest. Well we are taking the plunge together. Here is the chance for all of you to win something for doing almost nothing. Are We Too Connected?

I have asked myself, and others, this question many times. It all started with the answering machine. Then we had emails, mobile phones, and now mobile phones with emails. We now have Twitter, & ppl posting constantly about their lives. It isn't that I don't see how it could benefit this blog, but simply put, quite a bit of the time I don't give a da-- that you are sitting in Starbucks reading a book. Unless of course there is some benefit to me from that information, such as you are a friend I'm meeting for coffee. Also, I really don't figure you give a da-- that I am sitting somewhere either. I understand Twitter goes beyond that, but you get the point. I use twitter, and yes I've posted that I was sitting in a Starbucks. So we have people running around with their iPhones and Crackberries worried they are missing emails, phone calls, and text messages. They are doing this while listening to music and Twittering away.
