How Heavy Is Your Glass Of Water?

Let me tell you a story and ask some questions. How heavy is your glass water? And if it is so dang heavy why don't you put it down and rest? Now the story. A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, “How heavy is this glass of water?” Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter.” It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes. He continued, “And that’s the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on.” “As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it a

Never Buy A Car You Can't Push

This is my way of saying don't bite off more than you can chew. Time and chance happens to us all and it pays to have a plan B. Car breaks down? at least you can push it. See what I mean. Preparation and planning can overcome quite a bit. Do you have a backup expense fund, 3-6 months expenses? Do you have life insurance and an estate plan, ESPECIALLY if you have kids? Do you have one of the thousands of mortgages that are going to eat you alive as the rates adjust? Do you have credit card debt out the wazoo? These are just a few questions to ask yourself. Spend a minute on this fine day to examine your life just a bit. Take an introspective moment and truthfully answer the question "have a bought a car I can't push?" If your answer is yes start taking action today! That is what was on my mind. later all and have a profitable and productive blogging day Get more profitable and productive information by Following me on Twitter , or subscribing to my FEED .

Extra Medium?

Okay, just sitting here wondering once again why they make extra small, hereafter referred to as XS, and extra large, hereafter referred to as XL, but they don't make extra medium, hereafter referred to as XM. No I have not lost it and yes I know what medium means. Let me explain and maybe you can understand a bit better. I used to be a medium. No problems everyone has mediums and things seemed to fit just fine. Then I got the bright idea of working out, lifting weights and what not. Well I've bulked(muscle not fat :) just to clarify) up a bit, and have now run into a bit of a problem. My mediums no longer fit quite the way they used to. They are tight and bunch a bit in the shoulders and chest. Okay so I took this as a sign that I needed to move up to a large. NOPE. Didn't work. It looked like I was swimming in fabric, and wearing clothes that don't fit makes you look bad and cheap. I like my clothes to look as close to tailored, and even have some done, as possible.

Do You Believe What The World Believes About You?

We are all apt to believe what the world believes about us. - George Eliot This is an interesting statement. What is your answer to the title question? Do you even know what the world believes about you? Do you even care? Does it even matter? I think the statement is true in many cases. People become what other people perceive them as. People will let others perceptions of them define who they are and what they become. This is not a long post but I wanted to get you thinking. Are you the person you truly want to be? Or are you what other people perceive you to be? Are your perceptions of yourself different than others? How do you determine who is correct? Lots of questions I know. Let me have your cognitive content on the matter. Leave a comment and let us know what you think. later all and have a profitable and productive blogging day Get more profitable and productive information by Following me on Twitter , or subscribing to my FEED .

The Nun's Solution

I heard this joke somewhere sometime in the past...came back to memory while sitting at Cubs game. Three men sitting behind a couple nuns, their headgear partially blocking the men's view, at a baseball game decided to heckle the nuns in an effort to get them to move. In a very loud voice the first guy said, "I think I'm going to move to Utah. There are only 100 nuns living there." The second said, just as loudly, "I think I'm going to move to Montana. There are only 50 nuns living there." The third, even louder, piped in "I'm heading to Idaho. There are only 25 nuns living there." Finally having had enough one of the nuns turned around, looked at the men and in a the sweetest, calmest, most saintly voice said, "Why don't you go to hell....there aren't any nuns living there." later all and have a profitable and productive blogging day Get more profitable and productive information by Following me on Twitte

Butt Bunchers! You Walk They Ride!

Tell me that is not a great tag line for a new line of Plus Size clothing. You ever wonder why short fat people can never find pants long enough? I have. I have also wondered why the pants and shorts ride up so bad? That has to be uncomfortable. That is where my new line of plus size clothing comes in. It will be designed to ride up comfortably yet still be fashionable. If you can't keep them from riding, design them to ride comfortably. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Oh come on....You've thought it you just never had the guts to say it :) That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it because you need to know what I think! later all and have a profitable and productive blogging day Get more profitable and productive information by Following me on Twitter , or subscribing to my FEED .

Some Days You’re The Pigeon Others The Statue

You ever had one of those days where you are the statue? Where it seems that everything that could go wrong did? Or just a period of time where things just didn't work out the way you had hoped and you feel a bit like life has "dumped" on you? I know I have. I have always made it through though. With the help of faith, family and friends you can make it through anything. It doesn't matter if it is just a single bad day or a lifetime of misfortune. The bible says, if you believe that way, that God will never allow more to be put on you than you can bear. No one likes to go through hardship. But, If you look at it as God showing a bit of confidence in you it does make it a bit easier. If you aren't of a religious nature, or even if you are, just remember that time and chance happens to every man. Into each life at least a little rain must fall. Life sucks then you die. Some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue. Because you need to know what

All Men Are Created Equal. Then They Get Dressed.

Okay maybe this is just me, but what is it with people and not ironing. I know sometimes you are in a rush or just running to the store and throw on some "grubbies." But please I see people that are in "nice(er)" clothes that are wrinkled as he--. I probably dislike ironing as much as the next guy/girl but hey I do it. Not because I like it but because I want to look like what I am and want to be. If you want to be successful you have to dress the part. I'm not saying you have to go out and spend tons of cash on a wardrobe, but you can at least make what you have look the best it can. I heard it said once that "all men are created equal...and then they get dressed." I am not going to rant on and on but I encourage everyone that if you want to be a success dress for it. Sorry, I was just out for a bit last evening and saw some of the scuzziest people and it struck a nerve. Because You Need To Know What I Think! later all and have a profitable and
