Honesty In Advertising

I don't know why companies think they can get away with stuff like this. What is wrong with disclosing your advertising. The should have just done a PayPerPost campaign instead. This is why I have a Disclosure Policy and let people know that this blog does paid posting. This blog is about making money online through affiliate marketing and blogging. I would be silly not to do paid posting. I'm not as big as blogs like ProBlogger or JohnChow.com. Heck according to the 45n5 Top 100 list I'm not even as big as My First Million Dollars, Retire Young And Wealthy, My Journey To One Million, or Pimp My Pagerank even though I used to be until I moved this blog to it's own domain. Because I'm not as big as say John Chow I can't command as much for reviewme or similar programs, therefore programs like PayPerPost really work well for my stable of blogs. Isn't google penalizing people for using the word PayPerPost? Anyway I use facebook for advertising so I found this article interesting and decided to share it with you.

Are We Too Connected?

I have asked myself, and others, this question many times. It all started with the answering machine. Then we had emails, mobile phones, and now mobile phones with emails. We now have Twitter, & ppl posting constantly about their lives. It isn't that I don't see how it could benefit this blog, but simply put, quite a bit of the time I don't give a da-- that you are sitting in Starbucks reading a book. Unless of course there is some benefit to me from that information, such as you are a friend I'm meeting for coffee. Also, I really don't figure you give a da-- that I am sitting somewhere either. I understand Twitter goes beyond that, but you get the point. I use twitter, and yes I've posted that I was sitting in a Starbucks. So we have people running around with their iPhones and Crackberries worried they are missing emails, phone calls, and text messages. They are doing this while listening to music and Twittering away.
