Former Los Angeles Prosecutors blog and discuss issues related to California criminal law, strategies in the defense of state and federal crimes, along with analysis of celebrity prosecution including Phil Spector, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton. Blog author, lawyer Dmitry Gorin, is a Professor at UCLA and Pepperdine Law School, and provides frequent commentary on Court TV.

I have stopped by the Los Angeles Criminal Defense Blog | California Criminal Attorneys Law Blog on several occasions to read some of their blog entries. They typically blog about California law but do have a lot of great content that is applicable outside of California.

The blog template is pretty standard and plain and could maybe benefit from just a bit of web 2.o upgrades. Not too much though in that area as it would not fit the professional nature of the blog. The blog has a nice menu at the top that links to all of the most pertinent information about the firm. I have to admit the thing that I like the most about the blog is the URL KegLawyers.com. I just think this Is hilarious given that they have represented some DUI cases for celebrities.

Are We Too Connected?

I have asked myself, and others, this question many times. It all started with the answering machine. Then we had emails, mobile phones, and now mobile phones with emails. We now have Twitter, & ppl posting constantly about their lives. It isn't that I don't see how it could benefit this blog, but simply put, quite a bit of the time I don't give a da-- that you are sitting in Starbucks reading a book. Unless of course there is some benefit to me from that information, such as you are a friend I'm meeting for coffee. Also, I really don't figure you give a da-- that I am sitting somewhere either. I understand Twitter goes beyond that, but you get the point. I use twitter, and yes I've posted that I was sitting in a Starbucks. So we have people running around with their iPhones and Crackberries worried they are missing emails, phone calls, and text messages. They are doing this while listening to music and Twittering away.
