If A Blogger Falls In A Forest, DoThey Make A Sound?

If your blog falls would anybody know? If you stopped posting and never updated your blog from this moment on would anyone care or notice? Do you ever feel like you are just blogging for only you? Are you blogging just for you?

It is something to think about. There are literally millions of blogs with thousands started every day. There are probably thousands of blogs on just about any topic you can imagine. People typing away at their computers in their little corner of the world all trying to impact someone else with words. Are they making any difference whatsoever? Does it matter? Have you started a blog only to let it die? Have you ever tried to resurrect a dead blog? 

Okay if a blog like Problogger or  John Chow went away people would notice as they are "mega" blogs especially in the make-money-online crowd. What about blogs like this one? How about the middle-to-upper blogs like My Wooden Spoon, Pajama Professional, Benjamin Patton, or Standout Blogger? What about the obscure blogs like this one or Blogging 4 Everyone, x7SEO, Dorm Earning, or Blue Mushrooms?

Sometimes having a blog for no one other than yourself is perfectly okay. If other people choose to read it so be it. If they don't, oh well. Writing and getting thoughts to page is very therapeutic. So go ahead and blog. If you are looking to make money you want as many people to read as possible...If not just don't give a rat's patootie and write.

The Stripping Aristologist Contest Winner

Well as you can see from the above screen capture the winning entry is #5. Heading over to the contest post and looking through the comments and the trackbacks I found that Anton of Link Right Contests was entry #5 with his guess of Julia Child. The actual answer was incorrect so he won the $50 but not the bonus prize. I was a bit generous to 2 entries that commented and entered but did not give the link. I had to search their blog to find the answer. There were several that commented and gave a link to their blog but I could not find a post about the contest or any links back to this blog.
