Black Friday, Free Cell Phones, And Making Money

Okay well I would assume that by now you have probably come across a Black Friday ad online somewhere. There are entire sites devoted year 'round to just that one day. Stores purposefully leak the ads to build buzz. People get in line at midnight, or earlier in some cases, just to get that TV, Computer, or toy for their kid.

A lot of brick-and-mortar stores have started extending the Black Friday sales to their online stores as well. The online store runs the sale the same hours as the in-store sale and with many offering free site-to-store shipping this is fast becoming the way to go for many consumers. I know for me I have pretty much quit going out on Black Friday. I never, well once about 10 years ago, gotten what I really wanted and wasted my day trying to get. I would just get frustrated and stressed and end up wasting the day anyway. So now I do the online shopping thing, or I convince some poor gullible soul to go out for me :).

Well I wanted to make my contribution to the Black Friday hysteria and let you know you can get a free cell phone on Black Friday and you will never have to leave the comfort of your own home. You can check out great deals from all the major carriers including some really good Verizon Wireless Black Friday ads.

Are you looking for the iPhone? Come on...With the iPhone now the number one cell phone ever I'm sure your spouse or kid has been bugging you for one. Now granted you won't get the iPhone for free but you can get some other great at&t Black Friday specials. Hey let me tell you I have the iPhone and ATT service and the phone is the best phone I have ever had, and the ATT coverage is really good. Combine that with the best 3G coverage and you have a winner.

Don't like ATT? Then what about checking out some TMobile Black Friday ads. TMobile is a great carrier with a ton of free phones and other great Black Friday deals. I've never had TMobile, but I have some friends that do and they are extremely happy. Now if for some weird reason :) you like Sprint/Nextel they are also running some Black Friday deals. I personally have never like Sprint or Nextel, but I do know some construction guys that like Nextel, although they seem to be the only ones. Anyway if you go the Sprint route you can find some pretty decent Sprint Black Friday specials and make someone sorta happy with their phone :) this Christmas.

The Stripping Aristologist Contest Winner

Well as you can see from the above screen capture the winning entry is #5. Heading over to the contest post and looking through the comments and the trackbacks I found that Anton of Link Right Contests was entry #5 with his guess of Julia Child. The actual answer was incorrect so he won the $50 but not the bonus prize. I was a bit generous to 2 entries that commented and entered but did not give the link. I had to search their blog to find the answer. There were several that commented and gave a link to their blog but I could not find a post about the contest or any links back to this blog.
