Yahoo To Support OpenID

Google's Blogger announced back in December that OpenID commenting is available for all Blogger blogs. This means that your friends and readers can comment on your blog using their blog URLs from other OpenID-enabled blogging services such as WordPress.com, LiveJournal, and AOL Journals, or with their AOL/AIM accounts. Now Yahoo has announced that they too are lending their support to the OpenID movement. This is a big boost for OpenID. Are We Too Connected?

I have asked myself, and others, this question many times. It all started with the answering machine. Then we had emails, mobile phones, and now mobile phones with emails. We now have Twitter, & ppl posting constantly about their lives. It isn't that I don't see how it could benefit this blog, but simply put, quite a bit of the time I don't give a da-- that you are sitting in Starbucks reading a book. Unless of course there is some benefit to me from that information, such as you are a friend I'm meeting for coffee. Also, I really don't figure you give a da-- that I am sitting somewhere either. I understand Twitter goes beyond that, but you get the point. I use twitter, and yes I've posted that I was sitting in a Starbucks. So we have people running around with their iPhones and Crackberries worried they are missing emails, phone calls, and text messages. They are doing this while listening to music and Twittering away.
