As an affiliate marketer I do a TON of PPC advertising. For the longest time I pretty much stuck with google adwords as that is what I was familiar with. I also know how to work the adwords angles and get Lord & Taylor postions at Wal-Mart prices. The key is patience with your keywords and bid prices. Well over the last 8-9 months I have branched out from using just adwords to using Yahoo Search Marketing, Bidvertiser, and just recently Amazon's Clickriver. Clickriver will be revamping their ad placements starting Jan 1 which they say will have an impact on available impressions. I'll have to see how that changes. What I really wanted to talk about in this article though is that in my opinion you can, in a lot of instances, make better profits with Yahoo search marketing.
