Choosing A Web Host

Are you looking to move your blog from a free blog to one hosted on your own domain? Are you just unhappy with your current host and wanting to change your website hosting? WebHostingRating.com has nice reviews of many of the top hosts, including my favorite BlueHost. The nice thing about how the site is set up is that readers can review the host that they are using. I did a review of BlueHost because that is who I use. The only current review of Bluehost speaks of downtime issues but I have never experienced any issues with Bluehost. I have about 15 domains hosted with them and no troubles.

In addition to the reviews they have a ton of great information related to hosting. If you are just starting to learn about hosting your own blog or site you should check out all of the great articles they have on the subject. There is information on everything from beginner instructions all the way to articles on advanced security issues. Yeah the site is most likely an affiliate site for someone out there, hey I have some of those :), but there is a lot of useful information regardless. This would be a good site to check out for information before settling on a hosting provider.

The Stripping Aristologist Contest Winner

Well as you can see from the above screen capture the winning entry is #5. Heading over to the contest post and looking through the comments and the trackbacks I found that Anton of Link Right Contests was entry #5 with his guess of Julia Child. The actual answer was incorrect so he won the $50 but not the bonus prize. I was a bit generous to 2 entries that commented and entered but did not give the link. I had to search their blog to find the answer. There were several that commented and gave a link to their blog but I could not find a post about the contest or any links back to this blog.
