Sh-tty Contests, Revenge!, With No Stripping This Time!

Well it is that time again. Here is another of my "shotgun" posts. There is no stripping this time :(. This is just a personal preference but I don't like posting multiple posts to enter every contest. I like to consolidate and try and be a little more productive in my use of space. Well on to the reason I'm typing.

Many of you may have read my post And Bloggrrl said I was flush.... where I talked about entering a contest by one As(s)hwin Khanna in which the winner would win $2500. Now I was extremely skeptical from the beginning but figured what the heck. Well as suspected it was a huge load of crap. You can read some of the details over at Contest Blogger. Well Contest Blogger is now running an Ashwin Khanna Revenge Contest. The only entry requirements are that you entered As(s)hwin's contest and that you change your original link to his site over to Contest Blogger. Well I'm entered, and have changed my link to As(s)wipe, sorry As(s)hwin, dang I'll get it right Ashwin's blog to point over to Contest Blogger. Well since I'm on the subject, and I'm certainly not one to pass up a backlink opportunity, I am just one of many many blogs around the blogosphere that are letting folks know that Ashwin is full of crap. Suffice to say his blogging career has certainly been derailed, hopefully permanently. How is that for productive. I entered a contest, got a backlink, and took a swipe at As(s)hwin all in one paragraph. :)

I also want to mention a blogger by the name of Ryan Shamus. He has started a project called Blogging’s Most Wanted. It is $15 a block for you to advertise with a refund of $5 just for linking back to his site which means you are really only paying $10 for, as his terms state,"a pixel advertisement on the main page lasting at least 5 years." Not a bad deal at all in my opinion. Also once all 625 ‘blocks’ are sold he is going to give one winner $1000 cash, and another $750 cash. Overall not a bad deal, but I better get my $5 refund :).

One last thing and then I think I'm done. Darrin Carter over at Search Engine Marketing, a blog about Internet Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, SEO and Advertising, is giving away a Free PlayStation 3. This contest is courtesy of Darin and his his co-sponsor IAWMD - The International Association of WebMasters and Designers. Head on over, check out his blog, and enter the contest if you wish. Even if you don't enter the contest you will find a lot of great content. Well that is it for now folks.

What the F Does the C Stand 4

I know all of you have been waiting with baited breathe for my first contest. Well we are taking the plunge together. Here is the chance for all of you to win something for doing almost nothing. Hopefully you won't think this Contest is full of Sh-t . For many many years I have had the "nickname," I guess you could call it, of Cman. Here lately, probably due in part to #10 in my 10 Reasons John Chow Probably Thinks This Blog Is About Him article, I have been getting asked more and more what the C in Cman stands for. Herein lays the focus of this contest. For the person who can guess what the C in Cman stands for I will give them $100. If multiple people guess correctly the winner will be chosen by random drawing from among the correct entries. If no one guesses correctly I will randomly pick from all entries and will award the winner of the losers $20. Clarification: 1. In the words of Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, "There can be only One." Winner that is. E

The Stripping Aristologist Contest Winner

Well as you can see from the above screen capture the winning entry is #5. Heading over to the contest post and looking through the comments and the trackbacks I found that Anton of Link Right Contests was entry #5 with his guess of Julia Child. The actual answer was incorrect so he won the $50 but not the bonus prize. I was a bit generous to 2 entries that commented and entered but did not give the link. I had to search their blog to find the answer. There were several that commented and gave a link to their blog but I could not find a post about the contest or any links back to this blog. Anywho....Congrats to Anton and thank you all so much for reading and taking the time to interact with this blog and really make it what it is. Oh and Anton you might want to consider some kind of Contact Me link for your blog. Other than trackback to your post and a comment I have no way to contact you regarding your winning entry. Having a Contact Me is one of the first things any blogger should
