I know all of you have been waiting with baited breathe for my first contest. Well we are taking the plunge together. Here is the chance for all of you to win something for doing almost nothing. Hopefully you won't think this Contest is full of Sh-t.
For many many years I have had the "nickname," I guess you could call it, of Cman. Here lately, probably due in part to #10 in my 10 Reasons John Chow Probably Thinks This Blog Is About Him article, I have been getting asked more and more what the C in Cman stands for. Herein lays the focus of this contest. For the person who can guess what the C in Cman stands for I will give them $100. If multiple people guess correctly the winner will be chosen by random drawing from among the correct entries. If no one guesses correctly I will randomly pick from all entries and will award the winner of the losers $20.
Clarification:
1.In the words of Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, "There can be only One." Winner that is. Either the winning guess or the winner of the losers.
2.Multiple people can guess the same answer. If there are multiple guesses of the correct answer the winner will be chosen at random from these correct guesses. So if you were unclear and would like to switch your guess to one already made feel free to let me know.
The answer to the decades long mystery of the "C" has been sealed in an envelope and placed in the care of a friend of mine, Ted Kosmatka ( The Prophet of Flores ), to be opened on August 15th.
3. Disheartened By Carping Criticism I Feel The Need to Elucidate

I never really found a hack that worked properly or that had the look that I wanted. I decided to simply figure it out on my own. It took me a while but hey I finally got it. At least I think. We'll see over the next several days how it works out.
I'm also working on the feed only posts or items but can't seem to get that one working.

I like the comment page. I could never do what you're doing. I'm thankful for premade widgets and hacks..lol. I am in the process of getting my own domain and webhost. That's scary to me because it's unknown territory for an ol' cowboy's wife;)

Also, it took me 4 times and finally refreshing before the comment showed up.
I was thinking about this awhile ago and never pursued it. looks good now. before the word verification was an X.
WAAAAAASSUUUUUUUP
And yeah it does bump up pageviews a bit as instead of a popup or simple comment page it stays on the post item page. I've also noticed time-per-visit seems to be up a bit also. It has only been 24 hours so the data set is obviously limited. I will evaluate this for a week or so and then see.
