Bank Of The Internet - Another Reason I Love Affiliate Marketing

Here it is the Holiday season. Did you know that Halloween is second only to Christmas in dollars spent? That is crazy. Anyway if you are like me you could probably stand to have a few extra dollars around this time of year. Let me tell you how I do it. In addition to this blog I do affiliate marketing. Do you do any affiliate marketing? What have been your most successful programs. I have been involved in affiliate marketing for several years and it has been very good to me. Here is an example.

Today I received an e-mail from one of the affiliate programs I represent. Here is the news from the email that really caught my attention.
With our great success the last two months of our bonus offer we have decided to extend it and make it even better! Each month we will pay every affiliate a $500 bonus if they generate at least 7 transactions in that given month.
You see in addition to the normal commissions many affiliate programs are always running some kind of incentive program. Set bonuses like the one above, percentage increases, and more. This particular program only requires 7 transactions in a month to qualify for the $500 bonus. That # really isn't that hard to hit. The commissions from the 7 sales with the bonus would be around $8-900. Even if your ads sucked, you picked broad keywords, and had a low CTR, you should see a very very good return on your advertising dollar. Have you ever qualified for a bonus? The affiliate is actually Bank of Internet and I put a link in at the bottom of the post.

I started an adwords campaign this morning and have 1 confirmed transaction already.

The Stripping Aristologist Contest Winner

Well as you can see from the above screen capture the winning entry is #5. Heading over to the contest post and looking through the comments and the trackbacks I found that Anton of Link Right Contests was entry #5 with his guess of Julia Child. The actual answer was incorrect so he won the $50 but not the bonus prize. I was a bit generous to 2 entries that commented and entered but did not give the link. I know all of you have been waiting with baited breathe for my first contest. Well we are taking the plunge together. Here is the chance for all of you to win something for doing almost nothing.
